You have the right to receive a good faith estimate explaining how much your services will cost. Health care providers must give clients who do not have health insurance, who choose not to use their insurance, or request services not covered by their insurance an estimate of how much services will cost. You may ask your provider to provide a good faith estimate when you schedule services, upon intake, or at any other time during the course of therapy. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your estimate you may dispute the bill. If you have questions or want to learn more about the good faith estimate you may contact www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
